Karen E. Moore, 68, of Emmett, died Tuesday May 24, 2016 at a local hospital. Karen was born on October 27, 1947 at Marysville, CA.
She moved with her family to Trenton, MO. as a small child and a few years later the family moved to Salinas, CA. where she was reared and educated.
She married Mr. Young in 1961 and they had 3 children. Karen worked various jobs. She later divorced.
Karen married and they lived in Modesto, CA. She was employed as a waitress there for many years. They divorced and she continued to live in Modesto, CA. In 1989 she married Lee Moore in Reno, NV. They made their home in Ceres, CA. After they retired they moved to Emmett in 2004.
She enjoyed fishing and working on the small farm in Emmett. She was active with the Emmett Farmer’s Market.
Karen is survived by her husband, Lee Moore, of Emmett; sons, Steven Young of Emmett and Monti Young of Sagle, ID; daughter, Sheri Bond of Livermore, CA.; five grandchildren, one great grandchild and a brother in Modesto, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.R. and Helen Kent.
