Karen E. Cunningham, 66, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Timothy Cunningham, with whom she shared 35 years of loving marriage.
Born in Allentown, Karen was the oldest daughter of Marjorie (Weil) Vandergrift of Allentown and the late Frederick H. Vandergrift. After graduating from Dieruff High School in 1969, she went on to work for General Electric for 16 years. She later became an office manager at Muhlenberg College, working there for over 25 years. She was a very involved volunteer for many activities at Clearview Elementary School, where her grandsons attended. She also enjoyed gardening, her animals, listening to music, and going to the casino. She attended Christ Church UCC.
Survivors: husband Timothy; mother Marjorie; son Sean Cunningham of Bethlehem; stepson Timothy Cunningham, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Coplay; grandchildren Sean, Jr., Timothy, Casey and Madison; sisters Rosemary E. Lenhart of Allentown, Bridget M. Williams of Easton.
