Karen D. Mills, long time Bridgeport resident, passed away after a long battle with cancer on January 1, 2015.
Karen was born in West Virginia on October 26, 1940. She graduated from Buckhannon Upshur High School. On October 2, 1959, she married Norman L Mills. Karen lived in Concord Township, Ohio; Lakeland, Florida; Fairfax, Virginia before retiring from the Commonwealth of Virginia Probation & Parole – Arlington office to Bridgeport, West Virginia.
She is survived by her loving loving husband, Norman L. Mills; daughters Cherie Mills, Kathy O’Halloran (Ricky Collard), Pamela Nichols (Frank Lucas), Barbara Allen (Donald Allen); sons Patrick L. Mills, Douglas Mills (Cecil Fernandez); grandchildren Ashley Burgess (Phillip Burgess), Sean O’Halloran, Andrew LaVanchard (Heather Brown), Taylor Allen, Brian O’Halloran; great grand children Rylee LaVanchard, Korie LaVanchard, Paxton Burgess. She also has two sisters, JoAnn Sponaugle of Parkersburg and Phoebe (Ray) Hyre of Buckhannon, and two brother-in-laws, Arthur (Dorothy) Mills of Dayton, Ohio, and Charles (Eileen) Mills of Ashtabula, Ohio.
