Karen D. Jackson, 51, of Jacksonville, died Friday, May 16, 2014, at Passavant Area Hospital.
She was born May 26, 1962, in Jacksonville, the daughter of William and Rosemary Vasey Gibson. She married Earl Jackson in 1980, in Jacksonville, and he survives.
She is also survived by three sons and two daughters, Latriece, Seville, Ezekiel, Lucia, and Jakarta Jackson, all of Jacksonville; thirteen grandchildren, Laprice, Juan, Shayia, Westasia, Juelz, Dante, Capone, Kanye, Ziyah, and Camarion Jackson, and Trey Prather, Tela Trumbo, and Arique Jackson-Reno, all of Jacksonville; one great grandson, Jayven Pitman; four brothers, Bill (Darlene) Gibson of Woodson, Mike (Donna) Gibson of Jacksonville, Joe Gibson of Bloomington, and Pat (Betty) Gibson of Jacksonville; her God-daughter, Mary Robinson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Earl Capone Jackson; and one sister, Becky Flynn.
Mrs. Jackson began work as a CNA and then became an LPN. She worked as a care plan coordinator at North Church Nursing and Rehab. She attended Community Temple C.O.G.I.C. and had recently attended First Christian Church.
