Karen Belle Caldwell-Byrd, 74, entered Heaven on August 22, 2022. She was born in Ardmore, OK, to Anna and Francis Joe Caldwell. Raised in Ardmore, she attended Dickson High School and Murray State College.

Karen was an extremely dedicated employee and excelled in human resources. Her work ethic, compassion, and dedication to the employees she worked with was second to none. She worked for American Flyers, Samedan Oil Corporation, Michelin (formerly Uniroyal Tire Company) and East Jordan Iron Works before retiring after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

She proved her unwavering drive to never give up by beating cancer and when given six months to live by her physician, lived another five years proving that her faith in Jesus Christ was in charge of her life journey.

Friends and family remember Karen’s sweet spirit in times of hardship or adversity. She never dwelled on negatives and frequently encouraged others by lending a listening ear. Karen sought and found beauty in the little things, was compassionate and showed tremendous perseverance throughout her life.
