Heaven gained another Angel when Karen Ann (Holman) Foy passed away on August 12, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born in Wadena, MN on May 6th, 1957, the daughter of Martin and Jean Holman.
Karen was a creative, artistic woman who loved to paint, sew (everything and anything), bake and decorate delightful cakes and cookies. She could turn anything she touched with her loving hands beautiful. She loved playing dice games, card games, and playing computer games while having her morning coffee. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she went all out with the most perfectly decorated trees, cookies and decorations inside & outside of her home. If you were around her, you knew you’d be laughing until it hurt, then laugh some more. More than anything, Karen loved spending time with her family, and especially loved being “Nana” to her grandsons Lukas and Lane; she and Lukas had a special bond and loved each other more than anything. She couldn’t get enough of spending time with her grandsons, she loved video chatting with them and excitedly looked forward to their extended summer visits.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Jean Holman.
She leaves behind the love of her life and husband of 41 years, Marvin “Marv” Foy, their daughter; Jennifer Jean Foy of Iowa, grandsons; Lukas, and Lane of Iowa, sister; Lisa Holman of Blaine, brothers; Keith Holman od Bemidji and Steve Holman of Jolten, TN, mother-in-law; Vivian Foy of Bemidji, in-laws; Larry (Deb) Vincent, Kim (Scott) Muller, Joy Foy, Tammy (Jay) Morck, Bob Foy, and Wade (Kelly) Foy, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Karen was treasured by her family & friends and will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind; she’ll always be in our hearts.
