Justin Tyler Purviance, age 8, of Milford, went to his eternal rest on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at home, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Born on March 22, 2003 in Bridgeport, he was the son of David S. and Liesl Briechle Purviance. A 2rd grade student at Live Oaks Elementary school, Justin’s absence will be felt by all who were ever blessed to know him. Justin was a devoted and avid fan of Star Wars, and was chosen to be a Jedi Knight. In the words a Jedi Master, “The deeds of heroes send ripples through the Force. His life continues to flow outward, touching and guiding those who have yet to hear his name. Most of us here use the Force – this young man embodied it.”
In addition to his loving parents, Justin is survived by his devoted brother Ryan Carter Purviance, maternal grandparents, Patricia Strong of Milford and George and Nancy Briechle of Punta Gorda, FL, his paternal grandparents Karen and David C. Purviance of Glastonbury, his great grandmother Maureen David of Vienna, VA and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
