June Atwood, 86, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Grand Ridge, died July 31, at Air Force Village in San Antonio.
June was born September 16, 1923 in Ottawa to Percy M. and Bonnie (Farnham) Tress. She married Roy C. Atwood on October 28, 1945 in Ottawa. She graduated from Ottawa Township High School and attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She worked for Ottawa Silica Company for five years and the LaSalle County Highway Department for twenty-four years. She was a 50 year member of the Mary E. Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the D.A.R. Illini Chapter.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie A. (Mark) Tollefson, of Cleveland, TN; and a son Roy T. (Holly) Atwood, of Carrollton, TX; 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Atwood and one brother Fred Tress.
