June Ruth Stath, a longtime resident of Rensselaer, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 19, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born June 4, 1925 in Francesville, Indiana, the daughter of Lester and Loretta (Butcher) Ricks.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Loretta, her loving husband Charles N. “Charley” Stath, brothers, Orland, Galen, Waldo and Darell Ricks, a grandson, Lance Eric Stath and a great-granddaughter, Eleanor Grace Tracy.

She is survived by their loving children, son Lester V. Stath (Pat) of Ft. Wayne, IN, daughters’ Charlyn Jane Stath of Indianapolis, IN, Lisa E. Rothrock (John) of Danville, IN and Annette D. Selinger (Tom) of Zion Crossroads, VA, four grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Karen, and Emily June, six great-grandchildren, Alaina, Mateo, Max, Parker, Andrew, and Wesley, and her sister, JoAnn Werner of Francesville, IN and many nieces and nephews. June was raised in Francesville and attended the Francesville School. Her marriage to Charles N. Stath was on October 6, 1946 in Francesville, Indiana.

June was employed for several years as a secretary with the Jasper County Extension office. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Rensselaer, the United Methodist Women Circle V and the Jasper County 4-H program. She loved doing craft projects, gardening and working with her flowers.

June enjoyed traveling with her husband and her family. Her greatest joy came from time she spent with her family and her grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
