June Antoinette Richter Mesarick, 88, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2013 at Southwest Medical Center following an extended illness.  June was born May 4, 1925 to Stanley and Mary (Pace) Richter in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  She graduated from William Penn High School in York, PA in 1943.

June started working in the U.S. Civil Service in 1943, working first for the Navy in Pennsylvania and then transferring to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and later to Hickham AFB Oahu, Hawaii.  While in Hawaii, she married Frank Mesarick.  After moving to the mainland, she was at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas, Grand Island AFB in Nebraska, and McClellan AFB in Sacramento, California.  She later worked as a licensed real estate agent in Hershey, PA, where she also was the leader of a very active group of Girl Scouts.

June was preceded in death by her brothers Stanley and Kenneth.  She is survived by her daughter, Darleene A. Harris of Norman, son Frank G. Mesarick and wife Jacqueline of Oklahoma City, grandsons Steven E. Harris and Zachary B. Mesarick, and sister Arlene Richter Moore of Mesa, Arizona.  She is also survived by her long-time friend Bernie Cielesz of Norman as well as various nieces and nephews.
