June Lowry Johnson died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 10 after a short battle with Cancer. June was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 29, 1934 to Brunson and Kathleen Lowry. She spent most of her younger life in Panama City, Florida. It was there that she met and married her surviving husband, Lt. Col. Retired, James L. Johnson. The Johnson’s shared many United States Air Force assignments in Italy, Germany and the United States.
Mrs. Johnson is also survived by a son, Jestin Lamar Johnson, of Atlanta, Georgia; two Step-sons Jeffrey Johnson and his wife Jeanna and Jay Johnson and his wife Jimmie; three-step-granddaughters, Lacy and her husband Jerry Kleive, Brianna and her husband Seth Tackett and Kristen and her husband Alex Gaca; three step-grandsons Jordan Johnson and his wife Kirsten, Jameson Johnson and Addison Woods; and two step-great grandchildren Abby and Landon Tackett.
June loved and fed all of God’s creatures that passed through her yard, but had a special affinity for dogs.
