June Irene Hansen of Littleton Colorado, passed away as gracefully as she lived on August 22, 2022 at the age of 97.
June was born on June 13,1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charles and Caroline Johnson. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1943. She was married to Ray Hansen for 56 years until his death in 2002. It was with Ray that she raised a family of three sons. Ray’s work had the family moving to Ohio in 1963 where the lived for six years. Another move in 1969 brought the family to Littleton where June lived the rest of her life. Besides raising a family, June worked in retail and was employed at Heritage High School for ten years.
Words to describe June would include; social, caring, compassionate, humble, organized, funny and sweet. She lived a purposeful and meaningful life. June’s memory will endure for her warmth, easy going nature, a sense of humor and that infectious smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Hansen, brother Charles Johnson, sister Gloria Miceli, son Gregory Hansen and son Jeffrey’s wife, Linda Vasquez. She is survived by brother, Gaylord Johnson, brother Clyde Johnson, son Jeffrey Hansen, son Brian Hansen and numerous nieces and nephews.
To the legions of friends and the many people June knew during her long and full life, it is they who feel great fortune to have known her.
