Mrs. June Denney Garrett, 77, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. She was born July 6, 1936, in Hogansville, GA to the late J.M. & Sally Talley Denney.
June was a 1954 graduate of Hogansville High School. She worked for the State of Georgia in The Office of The Secretary of State for 32 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Marietta. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William Gartrell Garrett of Marietta; son, Bill Garrett of Talking Rock, GA; grandsons, Daniel Garrett of Denver, CO, Jason Garrett of Santa Barbara, CA; brothers, Don Denney of Newnan, Jimmy Denney of Smyrna, Ned Denney of Houston, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
