We are thankful for the life of June Elsie (Wright) Hall who departed peacefully from this life on September 11, 2021.
June was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 17, 1930. Shortly after graduating from Technical High School in Springfield, she married Donald Franklin Hall, a newly commissioned Coast Guard officer.
The couple embarked on what turned into 30 + years of service across the U.S. and world and 67 years of married happiness. They retired to Ocean Village in Fort Pierce where they enjoyed hosting family and friends.
June was a two-time breast cancer survivor, both tenacious and gracious in the face of adversity. She loved her family, her “circle of love” as she called them, which grew to include her four daughters, their husbands, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
June was ready for every holiday, carefully decorating and preparing, in anticipation of gathering with those she cherished. She particularly enjoyed Christmas time and hosted a Yankee swap Christmas party wherever the Coast Guard sent her and Don.
She never missed a birthday and always sent cards and gifts. She insisted on dinner at the table, never in front of the TV. She loved to read, never missed the daily paper, and finished multiple novels each week. Although only a social golfer, she made a hole in one and received the coveted Pink Lady Trophy.
June was preceded in death by her beloved Don and her brothers Everett, Tom, and Carl. She is survived by daughters Cynthia and husband Carl, daughter Donna and husband Bill, daughter Pamela and husband Nicholas, and daughter Melissa and husband Mark. June’s grandchildren William, Katie, Rob, Molly, Kelly, Benjamin, and Riley and her great-grandchildren Grace and Madison will greatly miss their “Nana June.”
