June Elaine Moore, 91

 

Elaine spent her early years in Logansport and then moved to El Paso, TX where she met her future husband who was serving in the United States Army during WWII. She moved back to Indiana after the war and she and Herman were married after his return from the Pacific Theater on December 10, 1945 in Alexandria, IN. These two soul mates were inseparable until his passing in 1984.

Elaine was a telephone operator in Texas and Indiana. She enjoyed writing poetry expressing her deep Christian beliefs. Being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was her chosen career. She was active in the Boy Scouts and served as a Den Mother for many years.

She is survived by her three sons; David L. Moore, (wife, Vera Jean), Kevin Moore (Pam Asberry) and Eric Moore, (wife, Amy). A sister, Ruth Wilson, Phoenix, AZ and brother Max Schrader, Maricopa, AZ. Nine grandchildren fourteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. She had numerous beloved nieces and nephews as well.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, baby daughter, two sisters, Mae Leonard and JoAnn Hunt, a brother, Charles Schrader and other precious family members.
