\June E. Meinhardt, 84, of New Baden, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born June 7, 1928, in Shiloh, the daughter of Elmer and Edna Ann (Perschbacher) Weil. She married Lyle “Showboat” Brinkman on May 14, 1948, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1964.

She married Stanley “Shorty” Meinhardt on June 4, 1966, in New Baden and he survives in New Baden. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Terry (Dedra) Brinkman of Trenton, Denny (Diane) Brinkman, and Scott (Renee) Meinhardt all of New Baden; seven grandchildren, David (fiancée, Christie Yaeger) Brinkman, Steven (Jennifer) Brinkman, Kris (Polly) Brinkman, Kevin (Jessica) Brinkman, Tonya (Wayne) Marlar, Nathan Meinhardt, and Courtney Meinhardt; eight great-grandchildren, Brody Brinkman, Kiley Brinkman, Lyle Brinkman, Mariah Marlar, Noah Marlar, Grace Marlar, Jessica Marlar, and Hannah Schulte; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her first husband and her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Brinkman; a sister, Virginia “Sis” Noll; two brothers, Leroy Weil and Melvin “Toots” Weil; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gilbert Noll, Bernetta Weil, Shirley Weil, Shirley J. Meinhardt, and Robert Meinhardt in infancy. Mrs. Meinhardt was a homemaker and beautician and owned/operated June’s Beauty Shop in New Baden before her retirement. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in New Baden and she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing cards, camping and traveling.
