June Dawson Brainard, 91, of Westminster, MD, passed away, Friday, December 25, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Westminster. Born March 22, 1924 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Woolf and Lucy Dawson Woolf. She was the wife of Jack D. Brainard, who passed away in 2001.
She was employed with C&P Telephone as a telephone operator and later retired from Random House in Westminster. She was a graduate of Littlestown High School, and was a founding member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. June was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving her are her sister Helen Arter of Hanover, PA and her four children, Judy White of Westminster, MD, James Brainard of Westminster, MD, Jack Brainard Jr. of Louisville, KY, and Jayne Freed of Manheim, PA. June had 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
