Juliette L. Hammond, 110, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Ernest Hammond for 37 years. Born October 8, 1907 in Putnam; the daughter of the late Louis and Delia (Dupont) Lamoureaux. Juliette was retired from Royal Typewriter, communicant and treasurer for many years at Immaculate Conception Church and member of both Barkhamsted and New Hartford Senior Centers. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, crocheting and oil painting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. Juliette was an amazing woman who lived two lifetimes with a big smile on her face and will be deeply missed by her treasured family. She leaves behind a beloved daughter, Carol Parrott of Barkhamsted; two grandsons, Louis Parrott, Jr., and wife Johanna and Gerald Parrott and wife Laurie; great granddaughters, Leah and Colleen; and brother, Jake Lamoureaux of Putnam. She was predeceased by three brothers, Mickey, Francis and Ovelia and two sisters, Doris and Agnes.
