Julia Michie Smith drifted into sleep at her son’s home on Tuesday, January 3rd,. She was the devoted wife of the late Talmadge E. Smith; dear mother of Talmadge and daughter-in-law Millicent Smith, loving granny of Zoë and Noah, and sister-in-law to Lucille S. Bowers, of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by her niece Carrie (Jay) Johnson of Atlanta, GA; devoted nephew Ernest Holmes, PhD of Fort Washington, MD; and lifelong friend of Teresa Carter of Alexandria, VA. Celebrating her life are also many nephews, nieces, and friends.
