Julie L. Newton, resident of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away January 25, 2018. She was born in Racine, Wisconsin on April 7, 1948. Julie was united in marriage to Paul Newton, Ph.D, on January 31, 1970. She was preceded in death by Paul and her mother Grace Schenkenberg, MD.
She attended both St. Mary-Of-The-Woods College in Indiana and the University of Wisconsin – Parkside, where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree. Julie leaves behind her children Jennifer (Tony) Colatruglio, Kathryn Newton, and Laura (Vince) Grabovac. Julie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren: Michael, Bridget, Anna, Ethan, and Zechariah.
They will miss spending time with their Oma. Julie enjoyed a variety of arts (painting, decorative handwriting, jewelry, and culinary). Julie was a follower of Jesus Christ and used every opportunity to share her witness with anyone who had a willing ear.
