Julie E. McMurray Simcox, 69 of Centralia, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at her home. Julie was born November 22, 1942, in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Archie McMurray and Bertha (Viveria) McMurray.
She married Bill Simcox and they later divorced.
She is survived by daughters B.J. Simcox of Centralia, Lori Bunton and fiancé Karl of Centralia, Brenda Massie of Fairfield, Robin Fordonski and fiancé Chuck of Joliet, and Paula Timmons and husband David of Centralia; Step-daughters Debbie Ruiz & Jodie Ramsey; brother James McMurray of Houston TX; sisters Patty Johnson and husband Gary, Janice South and husband Herb, and Joan Potucek and husband Terry all of Minnesota; grandchildren Jared Simcox and fiancé Tana, Nakisha Scott, Jamica Scott, Michael Bunton, Erica Ruiz and fiancé Angelo, Brittany & Blake Miller, Tana Simcox, Kristen West, Nicole Xaunders, Kaitlyn fordonski, and Jamie Merritt-Smith and Jana Toombs; she is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Julie worked at BCMW Headstart as a Family Advocate and retired after 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary, VFW Ladies Auxillary, and was a VVA Associate Member. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved being with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie McMurray and Bertha And Robert Armitage; two sisters Jean Crawford and Judy McMurray.
