Julie Ann Cromer slipped quietly from this life to the next in the late evening of March 9, 2019, at her home in Belton, Texas. She was surrounded, as always, by the love of her family.
Julie began her life in Bozeman, Montana, on a Monday morning just before dawn, June 10, 1968. She was the first daughter of Carolyn Peterson Cromer and the late Gary Allen Cromer. She lived with her parents in both Montana and Utah, before moving to Texas.
Julie was a vibrant, passionate, obstinate, take-on-the-world person, who never met a stranger. She loved adventure ~ to travel anywhere, any time ~ just load up her Jeep and her Pugs and be on her way. Sometimes with a definite plan in mind, sometimes not so much.
Julie lived in San Antonio for several years and it always remained one of her favorite places. She also lived in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Santa Barbara, California, where she was very active in Pug rescue. And in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Boston, Massachusetts, and the Cape Cod area. Julie spent time in most of the States, Canada, and several areas of Western Europe. But you can’t take Texas out of the girl ~ she still loved her Cowboys, Dr Pepper, sweet tea, and Willie Nelson.
Julie had a creative soul, finding beauty in the mundane. She could take something ordinary and make it special, and she could see the possibilities in things others would walk by, not seeing at all. And she found the perfect outlet for her creativity in her decorating and in her photography.
She was especially passionate about animal protection and rescue, as well as the earth’s preservation and conservation. And used her photography to benefit both. She loved all of nature and the majority of her photography was focused on the beauty found everywhere in our world.
Julie was a free spirit who faced life head-on, living it at her pace and in her own way ~ and she was almost always late. But she was undaunted in her quests; she dreamed big; and followed those dreams wherever they led. Julie lived more, and loved it, in her fifty years than many ever do in a full lifetime.
And she loved her family and friends without bounds.
Julie was living in Coventry, Rhode Island, when cancer reared it’s ugly head. She came home to Belton, Texas, to be with family and friends, who offered so much support. Julie fought valiantly against the cancer attacking her body but, despite all her efforts, the ultimate victory was not to be.
She was preceded in death by her her father Gary Allen Cromer of Coeur de’Alene, Idaho; and her grandparents Garland Hugh and Margaret Lynch Peterson of Belton, Texas; Alvis Vinston and Wilma Gibson Cromer of Spokane, Washington; James Waid and Addie Owen Beauchamp of Temple, Texas.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her mom and dad, Carolyn Peterson Beauchamp and Vernon Craig Beauchamp, of Belton; her stepmother, Angela Cromer of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; her six sisters Robin Cromer (Lewis) Boren of Belton, Patricia Ann Beauchamp Cotham of Round Rock, Reyna (Suzy) Beauchamp of Cypress, Sharon Lee Beauchamp Rainer of The Grove, Elizabeth Beauchamp (Robert) Churchill of Belton, Heather (John) Hanley of Bozeman, Montana; and one brother Sean Cromer of Seattle, Washington; along with her beloved nephews and nieces, Zach(Erin), Michael, Sonia (Jeremy), Colby, Tyler, Samantha, Haley, Nathan, Ashley, Cynthia, Seth, Liam, Katelyn, Caroline, Logan, Calder; and greats Noah, Eli, Carter, and Nikki; by several uncles and aunts, some very special cousins, a host of friends, and her cherished Pug, Moxie.
