Julie Ann Nelson

On March 4, 1960 the world became a brighter place when Julie Ann Nelson (Silvester) became the second of four children and only girl born to Kyle Silvester and Patricia Brown in Tremonton, Utah. On January 19, 2014 Julie was taken from this world, after a brave fight with lung cancer. On December 6, 1986 she married the love of her life, Mike Nelson who never wavered with his unconditional love and support. Julie always reveled that her two greatest accomplishments were her daughters, Nicki and Amber. She had an amazing love for life and was an inspiration, teaching us how to live with heart and passion, how to do things right, how to be a mother and most of all how to be courageous. Julie believed in giving and loved to brighten the lives of others, from family and friends to total strangers. She was known for her boisterous laugh, beautiful smile and magnetic personality. All who knew her loved her. Julie loved the outdoors and being around family. Her grandchildren, Paiton, Danial, Tailor and Brenna were her everything and she loved them to the moon and back. She took pride in being the best aunt EVER! Julie loved music and always knew a song that captured special moments of her life. No one else looked like her, spoke like her or was as original in the way she did things. No one had a better sense of self. Our hearts will forever hold a place for Jewles.

Julie was preceded in death by her dad, Kyle Silvester.

Julie is survived by her husband Mike of Roosevelt, her daughters Nicole (Eddie) Butterfield of Roy, Amber Lauritzen (Neil Souza) of Sunset; her brothers Kyle(Darlene) Silvester of Tyler, Texas, Steve (Kris) Silvester of Clinton, David (Molly) Silvester of Syracuse, Todd Beshirs of Sunset; her mother Patricia Howell; her mom Jacque Silvester and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone that helped us during this time – Dr. Anker and Dr. Akerly’s staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute and the entire staff of Thatcher Brook. The care and love you provided Julie was exceptional.
