Julie Ann Hughes, age 45 of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away July 28, 2022 at her home west of Stromsburg.
Julie was born March 29, 1977 to Don W. and Edna Mae (Willhoft) Hughes in York. She attended school in Stromsburg graduating in 1995. She then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Julie worked in York selling cars at Heartland Auto, helped to manage Checker’s Bar and Grill in York and also at Nebraskaland Glass. After her son was born she moved to Louisville and worked in Omaha at Werner trucking. In 2012 she moved back to Stromsburg and helped on the family farm. Julie then began working as a secretary for Svehla Law Office, formerly Beckner Law Office, in Osceola and also at the Stromsburg Legion Club.
On June 6, 2020 she was united in marriage to Daniel J. Lombard in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They lived on a farm west of Stromsburg.
She enjoyed gardening, yard work and helping other people.
Survivors include her husband Daniel Lombard of Stromsburg; son Christian Shaw of Lincoln; parents Don and Edna Hughes of Stromsburg; sister Linda Werner of Weatherford, TX; brothers Larry (Judi) Hughes of Osceola and Tyler (Meshelle) Harris of Polk; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
