Julian Edward “Bud” Griffin of Noblesville, IN died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN. He was born January 4, 1918 near Cicero, IN to Julian Franklin and Martha Evelyn (Breese) Griffin.
Bud, as he was affectionately known served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He then became employed as a semi-truck driver. He later was employed at the Hamilton County Highway Department, then the State Highway Department and lastly at the Cicero Street Department.
He married Mary Catherine (Widows) Griffin on September 18, 1937. She survives him. Also surviving are three sons: Dennis L. Griffin of Noblesville, IN, Lanny D. (Marilyn) Griffin of Tullahoma, TN, and Rick G. (Julie) Griffin of Noblesville, IN, two daughters: Joan (Dale) Stout of Nashville, IN and Noreen (Troy) Ferguson of Cicero, IN, a daughter-in-law: Sandra Griffin of Kokomo, IN, 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is a son: Larry E. Griffin.
