On Monday, September 21st, 2020, Julian Donald “Don” Lewis, loving husband and incredible father of 3 children passed away at age 83. Don was born on July 22, 1937 in Nutall Rise, FL. Married to his wife, Nancy Lee Kreager for 62 years, together they raised three children: two sons, David and Shawn, and a daughter, Teresa.
Don proudly served in the Army Reserves and National Guard for 27 years while he concurrently worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Caterpillar and then later for DAB Constructors.
He was known for his love of nature, hunting and fishing.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Jos Cephus Lewis and Eva Mae Padgett of Perry, Florida, as well as his sister Louise Hunter. He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Lewis, sons David Lewis, Shawn Lewis (Angela), and daughter Teresa Alvarado (Giovani), six grandchildren: Jessie Lewis, Joe Lewis, Ruth Lewis, Lauren Alvarado, Adrienne Alvarado, and Todd Lomerson (Nikki); two brothers Jack Lewis (Erma) and Billy Lewis, and 1 sister, Mary Lou Bennett; Brother Inlaw Jerry Kreager and Sister Inlaws Ana Nola and Linda Timmons (Bobby).
