Julia R. Scheller, 93, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Easton, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Scheller.  Born in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of James and Rose (Fabo) Deak.  After attending Hellertown High School, Julia worked a few years into her marriage at the former Gamet Silk Mill as a presser.  She then became a stay at home Mom until her children were in high school.  She then worked in the custodial department at the former Leader Nursing Home, Bethlehem.  Julia loved children.  For many years she supported numerous children’s charities, including a brother and sister in Guatemala who received medical and dental care and were able to attend school because of Julia’s generosity.  She treasured her family and was most happy when the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were at her home for a visit.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for them.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Gary Scheller of Nazareth, Terrence Scheller and his wife Sharon of Bath, Julie Scheller of Bethlehem, Mary Jo Christensen and her husband William of Danielsville, Beth Ann Wandler and her husband Michael of Bath; grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Cory, Joseph, Julia, Chance, Reggie, Derrik, Dana; great grandchildren, Alex, Jake, Jason, Derek, Claire, Leena, Jillian, Evelyn, Erik, Isla, Luna; great great grandchildren, Marcus and Scarlett.  She was predeceased by siblings, Erma Frankenbush, Rose Opp and James Deak.
