GROVELAND – Julia F. (Bachini) Rampulla, 93, longtime Groveland resident passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley.

Julia was born in Haverhill on December 14, 1921, youngest of five children of Italian immigrants, Giulo and Ferdinanda (Conforti) Bachini. She was raised in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1941.

Julia worked during World War II with manufacturers that provided materials to the U.S. Navy, and she was given recognition for supporting the War effort.

Loving wife of 42 years to the late Andrew Rampulla, who passed away in 1994. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper in the shoe factories in Haverhill until doing the same for her various family members’ restaurants in the City.

Julia was a loving and caring woman who will be missed for her keen intelligence, wit and sense of humor.

Her surviving family members include her loving sons, Joseph Rampulla, Andrew Rampulla and Susan Flynn; and numerous nieces and nephews; sister of the late John Bachini and wife Anna, Iris Basso, Carlotta Kershaw and Florence Petrou; lifelong friend of the late Barbara DeCesare.
