Julia Edna Silta, 91, of Great Falls, passed away suddenly at her home, September 5, 2015 of natural causes.

She was born January 21, 1924 in Sand Coulee, Montana to Victor and Mary Sukko. She attended schools in the area, and graduated Centerville High School. Julia earned a certification as an executive housekeeper from Michigan State Kellogg Center.

In 1943 she and Edwin Silta were united in marriage in Helena, Montana. They made their life in Montana, raising their children Bonnie and Raymond.

During her career Julia worked as a nurse attendant, and then moved to the Executive Housekeeper position at Deaconess Hospital. She was Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Montana Deaconess Medical Center. She retired in 1989 after 37 years of dedicated service.

Julia volunteered at the medical center and at the Peak Fitness Club, where she was an active member for many years. She was also a dynamic member of the Garden Club.

Julia is survived by her children; Bonnie Buchanan of Falls Church, VA and Raymond Silta of North Bend, WA.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edwin Silta.
