Jules V. Hayes
Jules Vanzandt Hayes, 86, of 480 E. Fifth Ave., South Williamsport, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born April 27, 1924, in Liverpool, he was a son of Howard E. and Sadie M. Heintzelman Hayes.
He was a Marine Corps Veteran of World War II and retired from Webb SuperGro, Mill Hall. Jules was an outdoorsman.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Stroup) Hayes, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 27; son, Larry R. Lukens and wife, Jerry Ann of Montpelier, Va.; brother, Larry Hayes of Middleburg; sister, Beulah Shuman of Sugar Loaf; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to many friends, he will be especially missed by all his friends at the West Branch Beagle Club and Lycoming Beagle Club.
