Judy Sue Kettle, 60, residing in South Bend, passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
Judy was born on April 20, 1953, in Elkhart to James C. “Shorty” and Jean Carolyn (Bradshaw) Johnson.
She married Everett R. Kettle on Dec. 9, 1978, in South Bend.
He survives as well as her sons, David (Erica) Kettle and Bobby (Goldy Pausk-Sobih) Freshour, both of South Bend, Eugene (Tabitha Davis) Freshour of Mishawaka, and Kevin Kettle of South Bend. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; her twin sister, Betty Lou Berkey, and her father, James C. “Shorty” Johnson, both of Elkhart.
Her mother, Jean C. Johnson, preceded Judy in death.
Judy worked for more than 12 years at Foegley landscaping in South Bend. She enjoyed gardening and collecting knick-knacks — especially pigs — and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
