Judith A. “Judy” Morthole, 75, of South Jacksonville, IL died Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at her residence.
She was born August 16, 1945 in Fort Meyers, Florida, the daughter of John Allan Smith and Mary Juanita Diagger Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Mark A. Morthole; two sisters, Sharon Drenning (husband, Robert) of Warrenville and Janet Knox-Smock (husband, Richard) of Jacksonville; a brother, David Smith (wife, Jamie) of Jacksonville; two step children, Sheila Morthole Hembrough (husband, Richard) and Shawn Morthole (fiancé, Tiffney Lawlor), all of Jacksonville; and four step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graduate of Jacksonville High School, Judy began her career with United Airlines in Chicago shortly after high school. She completed her career at TRW Cinch Connectors Inc. of Elk Grove Village.
Judy will be fondly remembered for her fun-loving, outgoing personality. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and family members. She lived a good life and will be missed.
The family wishes to thank a special caregiver, Wanda Brundage, for her dedicated and loving care provided to Judy.
