Judy Ann Walker, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on July 15, 1945 in Newnan, Georgia, to the late James Earl North and Raye Yancey North. Along with her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Lynn North. At the age of 16, Judy began her passion for nursing as a candy striper at Newnan Hospital. Following her graduation from Newnan High School in 1963, she attended Piedmont Nursing School graduating in 1967 becoming an RN. Her career spanned many facets of nursing. She loved her patients and they loved her. Early retirement for health reason moved her in a different direction toward volunteering for her church. She was an avid reader and her greatest adventure was her visit with her son in Paris. Judy is survived by her two sons, Jack Covington of Franklin, Joseph E. Covington of Paris, France, sister, Barbara Rawlins Griffith and husband Byron, niece, Lynn Chavez and husband Mike and thier children, AnnaLisa, Michael, Amelia, nephew, Jesse Rawlins and wife Heather and thier children, Bryce, Addyson and Khloe.
