Judy Ann Valdez, 58, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016, at her Albuquerque home. Judy was born September 30, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Joe and Mary Valdez. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, Class of 1976. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Kahuku, Hawaii, where she was affectionately known as Coach Judy. She is remembered for cheering the loudest. A person never left Judy’s home without being fed. Judy never knew a stranger and kindness always lent itself to friendship.
She is survived by her son, Domenique K. Anaya and his wife, Judy; son, Andreyes Anaya; daughter, Anngelique Anaya; grandsons, Shayden Rivera, Shaseden Rivera, Kaukahi Luke, Kenacy Luke and Kalea Anaya, and her granddaughter, Emily Anaya. She is also survived by her brother, William Valdez and his wife, Gloria; her sisters, Maryann Gonzales, Joann Triviso and husband Jimmy, Diane and Joe, Roseann Duran, Susanne Garcia and husband Michael, Patsy Ann Ortiz and husband David as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Valdez; her brothers, Johnny Valdez and Pete Valdez, and her sister, Barbara Valdez.
