Judy Ann (Douglas) Frakes, the daughter and oldest of seven children of William and Althea (Griffith) Douglas, was born on November 21, 1944, in Goldfield, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Goldfield High School “Class of 1963”.
Judy loved to play cards and enjoyed bowling, gambling, and Rock ‘n Roll music.
Judy passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in Des Moines, at the age of 77 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael Douglas and niece, Tamara Bohland.
Survivors include her daughters: Brenda Hebert (James) of Fort Dodge, Lynette Jergens of Denver and Jennifer Frakes of Minneapolis, MN; four grandchildren: Lindsey Hebert, Brent Hebert, Alyssa Jergens and Sydney Sessler (Jacob); three great-grandchildren, Alivia Hebert, Da’Moni Clayton and Sienna Sessler; siblings: Jackie Tharp (Jeff) of Blue Grass, William Douglas, Jr. (Jan) of Goldfield, Deb Thompson (Dick) of Eddyville, Lori Weets (Larry) of Goldfield and Connie Ruiter (Kyle) of Goldfield; sisters-in-law, Cathi Douglas of Rapid City, SD and Arneda Toillion (Bruce) of Spokane, WA and numerous extended family and friends.
