LOVETT, Judy A. Portage Judy Lovett Harriger of Portage passed from this world into the arms of her Savior on December 21st, 2014 with her daughter and husband at her side. A true Proverbs 31 woman, she was steadfast in her faith, a devoted wife of forty-six years, and a loving mother to her daughter.

She will best be remembered for her wit, wisdom, and appreciation of all the smallest, simplest joys in life. Two passions lasted throughout her life; the love of books and the love of animals. She was a proud patron of the local library for many years. Over the last fifteen years, she gave nine rescue dogs and cats their forever homes. Judy enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses and tomatoes, and watching the various birds and wildlife attracted to the many feeders in her backyard.

She was also a wonderful cook and loved to do crafts, especially knitting. And few can claim the honor of being on the list of people who beat her at Scrabble. Judy is survived by her husband, James J. Lovett, her daughter, Mariann, step-sons Scott Robin and Michael John, brother, Timothy Dianne Harriger, sister, Ann Ross, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace E. Ward and her father, Robert Harriger.
