Judith Marlene Hansen Thompson passed into the loving arms of her savior on October 27, 2022 at Our House of Ogden, where she happily resided for the last 3 years. Her family was there to comfort her in the last days, and we know she appreciated us being there with her. Mom was one of the sweetest and most kind human beings on this planet, always helping others, smiling and finding positive things in every situation. Her infectious smile and sweet laugh brought joy to everyone around her.

Mom was born March 1, 1934 to Rulon and Edith Hansen in the home of her grandmother, and was raised on the family farm in Garland, Utah, with her 3 brothers and one sister, learning skills and life lessons that she carried on for all her years. She graduated from Bear River High School where she worked on the Bearfax and was a member of the Pep Club, attending all the school football and basketball games.

She married Reed Thompson in 1954 and from that union she was blessed with 4 children, Cherryl Ann, Rulon Berkley (Tim), Ronald Lynn and Kevin Robert. She and Reed later divorced. Mom worked for the IRS and DDO for over 33 years, where she received many awards for her excellent service. After she retired, she still felt the need to be productive, so she went to work for Ogden City Schools as a staff assistant under the Department of Corrections for kids at risk. She loved being involved with the school program and enjoyed teaching on occasion. She was a lecturer for Weight Watchers where she helped many people learn better eating habits, helping them to live healthier lives. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints and held many positions within the church over the years.

Mom is survived by her children Cherryl (Warren) Price, Rulon (Tim & Donna) Thompson, and Kevin Thompson, 12 grandchildren (2 sets of twins), 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Leon (Shelley) Hansen, Jean Reniker, and Bruce Hansen. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Ronald Thompson and a brother George Hansen.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Our House of Ogden and the Atlas Hospice nurses for their kind and loving care of Mom.
