Judith Mae Chinery-Tilton, 74 of Whiting, NJ died on Thursday April 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by friends and family. Judy was born in Lakehurst, NJ and moved to Whiting, NJ 2 years ago. Judith was a dispatcher for New Jersey State Police out of Bass River. She was very active in politics, lifelong democrat who served as a member of the Ocean County Democratic Club and one time Municipal Chairman. Judy supported multiple presidential campaigns her favorite was campaigning for Candidate Obama in Fayetteville, NC in 2008.
Judy was an active union organizer and served as the state representative for Teamsters NJ Highway Authority local 97, Union, NJ. Judy is predeceased by her parents Richard and Florence Chinery and her husband Charles Tilton. Judy had a tremendous love for her family and friends and always had a special place for her brothers, special cousins, nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her children Timothy Hasson of Hockessin, DE, Donald Hasson of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Michelle Sloan of Lakehurst, NJ; her brothers Richard Chinery of Camden, DE and Robert Chinery of Wall Twsp., NJ; her 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild and countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
