Judith M. “Judy” Robey, age 85 of Hammond, Indiana passed away Tuesday, February, 23, 2021 at the Rensselaer Care Center in Rensselaer, Indiana.
Judy was born in Evergreen, Alabama on January 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Willie J. and Lillie (nee Manning) Powell.
Judy spent most of her lifetime growing up in the Pensacola, FL area. She married James Byron Robey and he passed away June 26, 2011. She was formerly employed as a store manager for the White Hen Pantry in Whiting, Indiana. She was member of the Pentecostal Church of God’s Love in Hammond, Indiana. She enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting casinos and working on puzzles. There wasn’t a puzzle that she couldn’t finish.
Judy is survived by her loving family, children, Diana L. (John) Banas of Lake Village, IN, Melody (Joseph) Janik of Whiting, IN and Herbert A. (Tammy) Schweiger of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Tina M. Murphy, five brothers and seven sisters.
