Judith Lynn Grant, 76, of Belton, formerly of Shorewood, Illinois, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 14, 2020 in a Temple hospital. Interment will be held in Johnston City, Illinois at a later date.
Ms. Grant was born April 13, 1943 in West Frankfort, Illinois, the daughter of Harland and Vivian (Pledger) Grant. She was married to Arlie E. Hubbard for 43 years. She attended the Oak Forest Nursing Program in Illinois and worked as a Labor & Delivery nurse for 20 years at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, Illinois. She loved animals and especially enjoyed the dog park in Shorewood where she took her beloved Maltese mix Bentley. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. She moved to Belton in October of 2019 and attended Belton First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lindell Grant.
Survivors include two sons Jeffrey Hubbard and wife Donna of Columbia, Tennessee and Daniel Hubbard of Plainfield, Illinois; two daughters Cathy Hubbard and her significant other, Fred Mitchell of Joilet, Illinois and Jane Condreay and husband Dan of Belton; the children’s father, Arlie E. Hubbard; of San Benito, Texas; one brother Richard Grant of Johnston City, Illinois; eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
