Judith Elaine (Lauritzen) Johnson, 80, joined God on December 15, 2021 surroundedby loved ones.Daughter of the late Helen and Edward Lauritzen, Judy was born April 2, 1941. Shegrew up in West Hartford graduating from Conard High School in 1959. During highschool, Judy was a baton twirler and was very involved in her church youth group. Judyattended radiology school at Hartford Hospital, worked as an x-ray technician for 45years and was the first x-ray tech at Orthopedic Associates of Hartford. Judy also spenttime selling Home Decor and as a secretary at Newington High met her husband, Roland, in the 3rd grade at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Theydated and eventually were married in 1963 living in CT then NJ before settling in New-ington in 1971 to raise their two children. Judy volunteered extensively with her kids’school and sports activities, but devoted most of her time to Emanuel Lutheran Churchwhere she was part of the church council and craft group.
