Judith Kaye (Giles) Carpenter Metheny, 78 of Lost Creek passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at her residence with family by her side. She was born on December 16, 1943 in Elkins, daughter of the late Albert Eugene Giles and Eleanor Sota Lawarnce Giles Stulter.

Judith graduated from South Harrison High School, Class of 1961. Judith worked for many years as a retail clerk for Bridgeport Wal-Mart. She loved spending time with her husband and family. She enjoyed family vacations, collecting bears, crocheting, and playing cards.

Judith is survived by her husband, Donnie Wayne Metheny, whom she married on August 24, 1996; five children, Bertie Joanna Stroud, Portage IN, Ronald James Carpenter, Des Moines, IA, Arthur Ray Carpenter and wife Michele, Munster, IN, Eleanor Kaye Brown, Portage IN, and Kelly Gene Carpenter, Crown Point, IN; one step-daughter, Melissa Ross, Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Mary Alice Sellers, West Milford, and Sharron Perry, Lost Creek: one brother, Dave Stulter and wife Kay, Lost Creek; fifteen grandchildren, Denise and Jason, Marvin and Nikita, Brandon, D.J., Kaitlynn, Danica, Alyssa, Ryan, Scott, Nic and Beth, Timothy, Kenneth, Dakota, Karli, and Sara; nineteen great-grandchildren; adopted daughter, Morgan Norman and husband Zach, Lost Creek; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her first husband, David Rex Carpenter, Sr., on August 5, 1994; one son, David Rex Carpenter III; two sisters, Betty Jean Ford, and Faye Faust; one brother, Jack Stulter; two sons-in-law, Charles Edward Stroud and Glenn Allen Brown; mother-in-law, Loraine Hazel Cole Metheny.
