Judith Kay Anstead, 74, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away July 25, 2016. She was born September 5, 1941 in Terre Haute, Indiana to John Johnson and Kathryn (Harris) Johnson.
Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of the Purdue Extension Lafayette Home Economics Club and 1959 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. She was a devoted community volunteer and enjoyed helping those in need. She was a lover of animals, particularly cats, and avid bird watcher. She enjoyed reading about history and watching musicals. She enjoyed music and singing, and had a great since of humor. She loved to bake for her family and friends and was known for her snickerdoodles. Judy was a blessing to all she touched.
Judith is survived by her husband of 48 years Kenneth David Anstead Sr.; children Kenneth David Anstead Jr (Pamela), Gerald Anstead (Pauline), and Cilicia Hatch (Andrew); grandchildren Desiree’ Anstead, Samantha Anstead, Charlotte Anstead, and Jonathan Hatch; siblings Shirley Johnson and Tommy Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Joan Cox, Carol Inman, and Janet Sue Johnson.
