GRANGEVILLE: Judith Kay Robinson, 79 of White Bird passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Syringa General Hospital in Grangeville. She was born June 17, 1938 to Mark and Ruth Tindall in Kansas City, Kansas.
Judy was raised in Bakersfield, California and moved with her family in 1955 to Idaho. She graduated high school in Nampa, Idaho and went onto Boise Junior College where she met and married the love of her life Ernie Robinson. From there on she was a rancher’s wife, life-long partner and cowgirl who loved to ride on the ranch and take care of cattle with Ernie. They were married October 27, 1957. They recently just celebrated with their family and friends there 60th wedding anniversary. They worked side by side building the 41 Ranch near White Bird, Idaho. They would winter the cattle in White Bird, Idaho and in Summer, pasture in New Meadows, Idaho.
One of Judy’s favorite things to do was cooking, especially when it came to shipping cattle she would prepare large lunches for the cattle crews.
One of Judy’s most memorable things was being part owner in the restaurant, known as Ernie’s Steakhouse. She loved to spend time at the restaurant having dinner with family and friends. Judy was truly a special woman, loved by all and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judy is survived by her husband Ernie of 60 years. Sons; Sam Robinson of Lewiston and Craig Robinson of Pomeroy. Daughter Becky Robinson of White Bird. Sister Kathy Saunders of Meridian. Eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
