Judith Ellen Cook, age 81 years, formerly of Niles, Michigan died peacefully at 7:55 a.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Eckstein Center, Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, Arizona following an illness.

She was born on July 13, 1936 in Niles to Anthony Sheridan and Margaret Ellen (Schmidt) Cook. She was graduated from Niles High School in 1956, and owned and operated the “Little Folks” licensed child daycare center in her home. She lived in Niles, and in Stevensville, Michigan before moving to Arizona.

Judy was a member of the Saint Mary Catholic Church in Niles and of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Stevensville. She always participated in the parish activities of each church.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Sheridan Cook, Ph.D. in 2008, and Capt. Karl Cook, , Ret’d, in 2015.

Surviving family includes her daughter, M. Karen Goodwin of Houston, Texas; and Judy’s siblings, Mary Sharon LaFrance of Sun Lakes, Arizona, Martha Karien Pariser of Longwood, Florida, Virginia Valerie Cook, Ph.D. of Sun Lakes, and Margaret Michela Howell of Fargo, North Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.
