Judith Belock, 78, of Holiday City West, Berkeley Township., NJ, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she lived in Budd Lake, NJ for 41 years until moving to Berkeley Township in 2012.

Judith graduated from Jersey City State Teachers College, now New Jersey City University, in 1963. She taught at Union High School and Bayley-Ellard High School in Madison, NJ before becoming a home tutor in math and science.

In 1985, Judith started a long and successful career working for the State of New Jersey, specializing in custom training for the Department of Labor.

Judith was an active member in several parishes in the Byzantine Catholic Church. She sang in the choir at St. Mary’s in Jersey City; was in the Ladies Auxiliary at Holy Wisdom in Flanders, NJ; and became a popular bingo caller while volunteering at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Church in Toms River, NJ.

Judith performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center with the Masterwork Chorus of Mendham NJ and sang in the Silver Ridge Park West Chorus.

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Belock, in 2018.

Judith is survived by her children Joseph Belock of Bayonne, NJ, Andy Belock and his wife Rebecca Mackey of Portland, OR, Julie Belock and her husband Robert Leoni III of Somerville, MA and one grandchild, Robert Leoni IV of Somerville, MA.
