Judith “Judy” Arlene Huitt was born November 27, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA to Clifford Cavanaugh and Doris Miller. Judy passed away on May 31, 2009 in Boise, ID.
Judy was married to Robert Gene Huitt in 1966 in Emmett. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Seattle LDS Temple.
Judy earned her GED in Yakima, WAin May of 1981 and was certified as a Nurses Aid in June of 1988, also in Yakima, WA.
Judy was raised in Burley, ID and had many home towns, including Emmett, ID, Dayton, WA, Yakima, WAand the TreasureValley. She thought of all these places as home. A piece of her heart was in each of these places and the people who touched her life there.
Judy worked as a Nurses Aid for many years – this was a calling for her. As loving people and truly caring about every little thing in everyone’s day to day lives that she came in contact with… She was not a worldly person. Things meant little to her. For Judy, the heart and soul of people were what mattered. There were very few exceptions and they were simple things.
Judy was the mother of three children, Doris Twitty (Eldon), Gene Huitt (Katrina) and Tracy (Omar) Huitt. The greatest joy of her life was her five grandsons, Christopher Twitty, Robert and Cory Huitt, David and Tye Huitt. She also had three great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Jayson, and Jager whom she loved and prayed for daily.
Judy is survived by her sisters, Joyce Okelberry (Rick) and Peggy Latham (Ray), all of Selah, WA; and her brother, Kevin Anderson (Diane) of Vancouver, WA. She is also survived by her step-father, Andy Anderson (Joyce) of Twin Falls, ID. She was Aunt Judy to 19 nieces and nephews; and 18 great-grand nieces and nephews.
Judy and her roommate, Alice were sisters to the end.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Huitt; her son, Tracy Omar Huitt; her mother, Doris Miller Anderson; sister, Kathy Anderson; and birth father, Clifford Cavanaugh.
