Judith Anne Howard, 72, of Galesburg, died at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Heartland Health Care, Galesburg.
Judy was born July 15, 1944 in Galesburg, the daughter of Roy B. and Marjorie M. Beard Kisler. She married Lloyd Hopson in 1966 in Burlington, IA. Together, they had two children, Roger Hopson and LeeAnne Wilson, both of Galesburg.
Judy is also survived by a sister, Connie Steele of Galesburg; a sister in law, Christie Kisler of Galesburg; 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Michelle Wilson, Mitchell Allen Hopson, Kristin Olivia Mundy, and Morgan Allen Matthew Hopson; and 3 great grandchildren, Trinity, KeAvion, and AuBryia Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol Welch; and a brother, Jerry Kisler.
Judy spent many years working in the family business, Hi-Lo Grocery; she also worked for several years at Audi’s pizza.
Judy also became a licensed beautician. Judy was always wearing a smile and greeted everyone as her friend. She was an excellent conversationalist and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy could often be found reading a book, many times reading the same book more than once. She also enjoyed relaxing by listening to music. Judy was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
