Judith Ann Swingle, 62, of Bristol, CT, passed away on August 26, 2008 at the Hebrew Home Care Hospice. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, the daughter of Alise Swingle and the late George Swingle, sister of predeceased brother Thomas. Judy worked in the insurance industry for 30 years, most recently at Lincoln Financial. Her passion was art, specializing in and nationally known for her Westie artwork. She was a lifetime member (40 years) of the West Highland White Terrier Club of America, a founding member (25 years) of the WHWTC of New England and a founding member, past president and artist for the WHWT Society of CT. She was an expert show groomer and as a handler, finished many Westies to their A.K.C. championships including her beloved Westies, Lionel and Wicket, who, along with her first Westie, Dennie, and last Westie, Alex, eagerly greeted Judy on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Judy is survived by her devoted sister, Christine Swingle of Vernon; her brothers Timothy Swingle of Wethersfield and James and his wife Dawn Swingle of Burlington, a niece, and many special friends. Judy was predeceased by her cherished and beloved Westies, Dennie, Lionel, Wicket and Alex.
