Judianne Mettler, 67, formerly of Huntington now of Avon, IN passed away at 4:07 AM on September 27, 2012 at I.U. Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Mettler was born on April 29, 1945 in Huntington, Indiana to John E. and Helen Jane (Showalter) Maples Byrd.
She married Patrick J. Mettler on April 30, 1966. He survives and resides in Avon, IN. Mrs. Mettler graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1963 and International Business College in 1964. She retired from Mettler Agency Inc. as treasurer of the corporation.She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN., and also a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church, Plainfield, IN. She was also a member of the Rosary Sodality at St. Mary Catholic Church.
She served on the boards of the Huntington YMCA, Huntington Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Huntington Public Library. She served as past president of Tri Kappa sorority. She also served as past president of the Tri Kappa Associates chapter where she held membership.
She is survived by her Husband, Patrick J. Mettler, Avon, IN; her Mother, Helen Jane Byrd, Huntington, IN. One son: John (Lyn) Mettler, Zionsville, IN. One Daughter: Emily (Aaron) Stephens, Avon, IN. One Brother: John R. (Mary) Maples, Indianapolis, IN. Four Grandchildren: Grace and Rebecca Stephens, and Patrick and Max Mettler.
